Part time admin assistant position to assist with administrative duties related to the operational activities of the conservancy. Contract three-year part-time position (half day, 3 days per week near Robertson) The successful applicant will report to and work closely with the conservancy manager to ensure conservancy activities are implemented successfully.
• Assist manager with administrative and office duties including filing of information and compilation of information for reports.• Assist with planning and convening board meetings, member and partner functions and workshops, and communications with board members.• Manage and track membership invoicing and payments• Assist with data collection and filing thereof. • Compile environmental education information and assist with creating newsletters and articles.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and good understanding of Afrikaans (spoken)• Computer literate (MS word, Excel, powerpoint). Good working knowledge of excel and online meeting platforms• Previous work experience should include at least 3-5 years in performing administrative duties and a minimum of a matric certificate. Relevant tertiary qualifications will be an advantage. • Own transport and valid drivers license essential• Knowledge of and interest in nature, conservation and/or agriculture is an advantage• Be able to work unsupervised and have a positive attitude • Be willing to jump in and help with other activities (on an ad-hoc basis and within reason)• Occasionally work outdoors with the manager
