Graham and Rhona Development Centre is the proud host of the Wilderness Foundation’s successful Siyazenzela Training. This year 20 candidates passed with 6 candidates given the opportunity to take part in the Umzi Wethu Conservation Training.

In 1753 the botanist Lorenz Heister, at the University of Helmstädt, renamed Amaryllis orientalis to Brunsvigia orientalis, in honour of his patron the Duke of Brunswick.
We are privileged to have a treasure chest full of medicinal herbs in the Western Cape and here in our conservation area. Research has shown that about 112 species, of the 3,000, are used more frequently for a variety of ailments.
